Canal Days 2023

Earlier today at a much anticipated and lively media launch, Mayor Bill Steele announced the lineup for the 2023 Canal Days Concert Series. This year’s festival features four full days of entertainment and tons of opportunities for residents and visitors to #PORTicipate.

The main stage for the 45th Annual Canal Days Marine Heritage Festival is once again located in the beautiful H.H. Knoll Lakeview Park, with top-notch entertainment throughout the festival.

Friday, August 4, 2023 – The gates will open at 6 p.m. as we welcome The Glorious Sons with Elliot Brood and JIN, presented by media partner 97.7 HTZ-FM.

Saturday, August 5, 2023 – The gates will open at 6 p.m. as we welcome Sam Roberts Band with Skye Wallace and Texas King, presented by media partners 97.7 HTZ-FM and move 105.7.

Sunday, August 6, 2023 – The gates will open at 6 p.m. as we welcome Pink Floyd Niagara, Canada’s Premier Floyd Experience and Riders On The Storm: A Live Celebration of The Doors, presented by media partners 91.7 Giant-FM and Country 89.

New for the 45th Annual Canal Days Marine Heritage Festival, attendees will be able to take their alcoholic beverages with them as they travel up and down West Street during the festival. Alcoholic and other drinks will be available for purchase from several restaurants and bars inside a large blocked off area (along West Street between approximately Clarence Street and Sugarloaf Street).

As a result, the traditional Patio on West will no longer be a fenced-in licensed area. The stage for the Patio on West will remain with tons of great Niagara-based talent all weekend. The stage will be located right in front of the new SouthPort Condo building. It is sponsored by Labatt Brewing Company and presented by media partners 91.7 Giant-FM and Country 89.

Labatt Patio on West schedule:

Friday, August 4, 2023 – Beginning at 4 p.m. with performances by Wet Knights, Gravely James, and the Stereo Stars.

Saturday, August 5, 2023 – Beginning at noon with performances by Aaron Allen, Angela Saini, Matthew Runaway, Jessi T, Ange and Rob, and Jin.

Sunday, August 6, 2023 – Beginning at noon with performances by J R Hardy, Andrew George Poirier, Andrew George Porirer, Stuck in the 90's, and Tin Roof.

Monday, August 7, 2023 – Beginning at noon, a performance by the Michael Saracino Duo will close out the Labatt Patio on West.
