A series of free family fun nights are coming to Port Colborne’s Vale Health and Wellness Centre at 550 Elizabeth Street.
Hosted by the City of Port Colborne and YMCA of Niagara, The Ultimate Family Night at Vale will take place once a month from October to April. Each edition will feature a movie in the gym beginning at 6 p.m., a free skate from 7 to 8:30 p.m., and a free swim from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m.
The dates of the events and the selected movies for each evening are:
- October 25 – Scoob!
- November 22 – Matilda
- December 27 – The Grinch
- January 17 – The Lego Movie
- February 28 – Super Mario Bros
- March 21 – Wall-E
- April 25 – Wicked
Greg Zwiep, Port Colborne’s Manager of Recreation and Tourism, said the nights are an interactive way for new and returning families to try a variety of activities.
“I can’t wait to see everyone at the Vale Health and Wellness Centre for our Ultimate Family Nights,” he said. “Not only are the activities great, but they also serve as a reminder of all of the wonderful programming we have available in our community hub.”
YMCA of Niagara’s General Manager, Health, Fitness and Aquatics Ben McDermott said the organization is proud to partner with the City to bring the community together through the Ultimate Family Night.
“This initiative reflects our shared commitment to creating fun, inclusive, and active experiences that strengthen community connections and support family well-being," he said.
Admission to all of the events is free with a non-perishable food donation to Port Cares.
