Daniel Rodgers

The City of Port Colborne is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Rodgers as its new Chief Building Official, effective July 7, 2025.

Rodgers joins Port Colborne with more than 20 years of experience in municipal leadership, development services, and legislative compliance, accompanied by 18 years in the private sectormanaging large-scale residential and commercial projects across Ontario. He brings a strong track record of leading innovative, high-impact projects that support sustainable growth and vibrant communities.

Most recently, Rodgers served as the General Manager of Development Services and Chief Building Official for the Town of Wasaga Beach, where he played a key role in advancing major redevelopment initiatives along the waterfront. His work focused on expedited and sustainable development, regulatory excellence, and enhancing community engagement.

His extensive municipal experience also includes leadership roles with the Town of Innisfil, the City of North Bay, and the Municipalities of Callander, Nipissing, and Powassan.

Rodgers is a Certified Building Official, with formal qualifications in the Building Code Act and Ontario Building Code from Loyalist College. He also holds a specialization in Advanced Studies in History, Political Science, and Sociology from Nipissing University.
