Family Day Skating

Port Colborne will offer a range of activities throughout the Family Day holiday weekend, with some municipal facility closures on the holiday Monday.

Activities

Friday, Feb. 13

  • Watch the Winter Olympics in the Port Colborne Public Library atrium beginning at 9:30 a.m.
  • Take part in a drop-in Love Bugs PD Day craft activity at the Port Colborne Public Library any time between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 14

  • Watch the 2026 Winter Olympics in the Port Colborne Public Library atrium beginning at 9:30 a.m.
  • Listen to story time with Shelly at the Port Colborne Public Library from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
  • Join PFLAG Niagara at the Port Colborne Public Library for a variety of fun and family-friendly board games in a safe and positive environment from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Monday, Feb. 16

  • Jump in the pool at YMCA of Niagara’s free open/family swim from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • Hit the ice for a free skate sponsored by Vale Base Metals Inc. at the Vale Health and Wellness Centre from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Building closures

All City facilities will be closed on Monday, Feb. 16 to observe Family Day, except for the Vale Health & Wellness Centre. City facilities will reopen Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 8:30 a.m.
