The City of Port Colborne, in partnership with One Forty Development LP/BMI Group, is beginning a linear servicing project to support planned development in the area, including the Asahi Kasei (AK) facility and surrounding lands.

Project Overview
Work includes the installation of new underground infrastructure and a local roadway within BMI-owned lands north of Forkes Road.

Construction activities include:

  • Installation of two parallel wastewater forcemains (150mm and 300mm) along Snider Road, from Third Concession Road to north of Forkes Road.

  • Installation of a new 500mm watermain along Snider Road, extending past Forkes Road to service BMI lands and the AK site.

  • Installation of a new wastewater gravity sewer and Bell utility infrastructure within BMI lands.

  • Construction of a new local roadway within BMI lands to provide secondary access to the AK site and future development areas.

Construction along Snider Road and within BMI lands will begin January 5, 2026. A map showing proposed alignments of the forcemain, watermain, gravity sewer, and roadway is provided below.
