As we prepare to hop into the Easter holiday weekend, here is what you need to know about upcoming events and holiday closures in the City of Port Colborne.

Easter Farmers’ Market

The Downtown Port Colborne BIA is kicking-off the Farmers’ Market season with their Special Easter Market on Thursday, April 6, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Market Square, 59 Charlotte Street.

Tugboat Bunny

Come PORTicipate and help us welcome the Easter Bunny Saturday, April 8 at 10 a.m. as he sails in along West Street on the pilot boat. Tugboat Bunny is brought to you by the Downtown Port Colborne BIA.

Easter Egg Hunt

After he arrives via tugboat, the Easter Bunny will hop over to the Vale Health & Wellness Centre for the annual Easter Egg Hunt and other family-oriented activities.  

10 a.m. & 12 p.m. Eggciting Easter Workshop with Dena Gelentso

10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Face Painting 

10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Colouring Station

11 a.m. Easter Egg Hunt: Bring your own basket. Participants should register at the main entrance of the Vale Health & Wellness Centre by age group: 1-5 years old, 6-10 years old, and 11-15 years old. If inclement weather occurs, the event will move indoors.

12 to 2 p.m. Free Skate

1 to 4 p.m. Free Swim with the YMCA

To accommodate these events, the walking track will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Holiday Closures

Municipal offices, including City Hall, Roselawn Centre and Sugarloaf Marina will be closed Friday, April 7 and Monday, April 10. Offices will re-open Tuesday, April 11 at 8:30 a.m. To connect with our customer service representatives, call 905-835-2900 or email customerservice@portcolborne.ca.

The Port Colborne Public Library will be closed Friday, April 7 and Monday, April 10 to, but will be open Saturday, April 8.
