Residents from Port Colborne and beyond are invited to celebrate Canada Day with a full day of activities.
Taking place Tuesday, July 1, in H.H. Knoll Lakeview Park, the Port Colborne Optimist Club’s annual Canada Day in the Park event will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a Mad Science demonstration. During the day, there will be an opening ceremony, live music performances, a visit from Lilo and Stitch, a foam party, face painting, bounce houses, train rides, birds of prey, and more.
There will also be an array of food options and a vendor fair, which promises crafts galore!
The fun will continue in the evening next to the canal when the City of Port Colborne presents a 7:30 p.m. performance by local country rockers, The Blackstones, at the corner of West Street and Sugarloaf Street. Residents are invited to bring their lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the show as well as a fireworks display along West Street around 10 p.m. (subject to seaway traffic).
