ErieStreetWatermainProject

Stonecast Construction Ltd. began the construction of the Erie Street Watermain on Monday, February 28, 2022, with an anticipated completion date of July 2022.

Here are some resident/neighbourhood impacts to be aware of during construction:

-        Erie Street, beginning at Neff Street, will be reduced to one lane during the construction hours, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

-        Stonecast we will require temporary road closures intermittently throughout the project, specifically during the daytime working hours 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Residents in the affected areas will also receive a letter from Stonecast that outlines more details, including accommodations for resident access. Emergency vehicle access will still be available during temporary closures.

-        Service disruptions, including low water pressure and/or water shut off is expected to be minimal but will occur during various stages and connections of the new watermain to the existing network. Residents affected by the disturbances will be informed ahead of time via mailed notices as well as public notices posted to our website and social media accounts.

-        On-street parking will be restricted during various stages of construction.
