Eh Amigos

Main streets play a vital role in growing the Canadian economy and supporting local communities.

Eh Amigos Cantina is pleased to be receiving a non-repayable contribution of $10,000 through the My Main Street, Local Business Accelerator program.

This contribution will allow Eh Amigos Cantina to support findings from the market research provided by My Main Street to drive economic growth and attract new customers to the business and the entire Port Colborne community.

On behalf of Eh Amigos Cantina, we’d like to thank Olga Loeffen, the City of Port Colborne and the Government of Canada through FedDev Ontario for supporting our local business.

The My Main Street, Local Business Accelerator program is delivered by the Economic Developers Council of Ontario with an overall Government of Canada investment of $23.25 million through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario) to support the recovery and strength of main streets and local businesses in southern Ontario.

Through its custom Market Report, Eh Amigos learned that individuals in its catchment area are spending 16 percent more on restaurants than the rest of Port Colborne residents. Post-Covid activities indicate that 54 percent of residents are looking forward to going to restaurants, specifically for dine-in experiences and family dining. Based on this and other data, the owners of Eh Amigos decided that their primary goals should be providing an excellent customer experience and focusing their non-repayable Main Street funding on lease hold improvements. They so thrilled to welcome customers back inside for a unique Tex-Mex dining experience.
