A full afternoon of activities in Port Colborne will welcome families to ring in the new year early on Dec. 31.
From 2 to 6 p.m. all are welcome at the Vale Health and Wellness Centre to take part in free skating, swimming, an early fireworks show and more!
Hosted by YMCA of Niagara and the City of Port Colborne, admission to the event is free of charge with a non-perishable food donation for Port Cares.
The afternoon’s activities include:
• Family open swim from 2 to 3:15 p.m. and 3:45 to 5 p.m.
• Gym activities and games from 2 to 5:30 p.m.
• Community family skate presented by Rankin Construction Inc. from 2 to 5:30 p.m.
• New Year's Eve photobooth presented by the Port Colborne Library from 2 to 5:30 p.m.
• Face painting and glitter tattoos from 2 to 5:30 p.m.
• Let It Snow - modelled magic snowmen crafts from 2 to 5:30 p.m.
• YMCA dance party with Rumi from KPop Demon Hunters from 3 to 4 p.m.
• Skate with Spiderman from 4 to 5 p.m.
• Fireworks behind the Vale Health and Wellness Centre at 6 p.m. (weather permitting)
The Kennedy Club food stand and the Buttertart Shack will both be open and selling food during the afternoon.
