About the Study
The City of Port Colborne has initiated a Schedule B Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Lockview Development Area. The Study will identify the preferred stormwater strategy for the Lockview area, including a stormwater outlet strategy and trunk storm sewer alignment.
The Process
The EA will be completed in accordance with the requirements of the Municipal Engineers Association (MEA) Schedule B Class Environmental Assessment (EA) process, satisfying phases 1 and 2.
Get Involved
Stakeholder input is a critical part of the EA process. The City of Port Colborne encourages its residents, businesses, and other interested parties to participate in EA Process.
You may provide comments, questions, and concerns to the project team at any time during the study. One (1) Public Information Centre is planned for this study.
How to Participate
The City of Port Colborne will be posting information about the Lockview Development Area EA through a project website at portcolborne.ca, where key project information and documents will be posted for public viewing. Additional project notices will be advertised on the City’s website, in local newspapers, and mailed (or emailed) to potentially impacted residents and businesses and other stakeholders. When the study is completed, a copy of the Project File report documenting the study process and recommendations will be available for public review and comments.
