The Vale Health & Wellness Centre has been open since January as a great place to walk or run on the public walking track from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., PORTicipate in one of the many drop-in arena programs, rent the ice, or join the YMCA.
What do you need to know upon arrival?
- Effective March 1, 2022, proof of vaccination is no longer required to be a participant or spectator at the facility.
- Face coverings are still required until participation in a program begins, such as hockey, skating, swimming, walking the track etc.
- Face coverings are still required while spectating games and/or programs.

The City of Port Colborne offers recreation and programming opportunities through two NHL sized ice rinks at the Vale Health & Wellness Centre (VHWC), City playing fields, baseball diamonds, outdoor tennis, pickleball, and volleyball courts, parks and pavilions.

Through partnership with the City of Port Colborne, The YMCA of Niagara operates programming and classes out of the Vale Health & Wellness Centre within the pool, gymnasium, and fitness centre.
