City of Port Colborne warns residents of phone scam

The City of Port Colborne has received reports of a possible phone scam happening in the area. Residents have received phone calls from individuals falsely stating they are from the City of Port Colborne. These individuals are advising homeowners they need to access their basements to determine if they qualify to have a sump pump put in as they have been identified as a house in a “red zone” for flooding.

Niagara Health partners with family doctors to vaccinate residents 80 years of age and older

Over the next several days only, Niagara Health is working with family doctors in the community to directly schedule residents 80 years of age and older to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. These vaccinations will take place at the hospital’s clinic at Seymour Hannah Sports and Entertainment Centre in St. Catharines. Niagara continues to work together to deliver COVID-19 vaccines to as many residents as possible, as quickly as possible. Preparation for COVID-19 Immunizations for Residents 80+

Niagara Region Public Health is busy preparing for the launch of our COVID-19 mass immunization clinics in the coming weeks.

Last week the 11 clinic locations were announced, and Public Health continues to work with these community partners to be ready once vaccine supply is available.
