In 1967, the Port Colborne Steelers Bantam “A” team won the Ontario Baseball Association (OBA) championship, defeating Owen Sound in a 1-0 victory. Following this achievement in 1970, the team (made up of many of the same players) took the Midget “A” championship home, this time defeating Dundas. The Steelers then went on to take the championship home for a third time (Junior “A”), defeating Brantford 8-1 in 1971. This marked the first time a centre with a population as small as Port Colborne had taken home the Junior “A” title.
Six players played on all three championship teams, including Kevin Keith, Steve Siba, Randy Chambers, Rick Young, Frank Iker, and Jeff Jarram.
