The City of Port Colborne has initiated a Schedule B Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Lockview Development Area. The Study will identify the preferred stormwater strategy for the Lockview area, including a stormwater outlet strategy and trunk storm sewer alignment.
Project Location
The study area includes Janet Street, Clarke Street, Humbolt Parkway and Wellington Street.
About the Project
The Environmental Assessment will compare design options for infrastructure improvements in the study area. It will consider costs, potential disruption and technical challenges to identify a preferred approach.
The study will be completed in accordance with the requirements of the Municipal Engineers Association (MEA) Schedule B Class Environmental Assessment (EA) process, satisfying Phases 1 and 2.
Following completion of the study, the City will move forward with the design of improvements to storm sewers, sanitary sewers, watermains, sidewalks, curbs, and roadways.
Project Updates
The City and its consultant are working through the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process. This includes consultation with residents, utilities, Indigenous groups, and federal, provincial and regional agencies.
