Port Colborne City Council has appointed Councillor Ron Bodner to the position of Deputy Mayor, while Mayor William Steele is taking a temporary unpaid leave of absence to run in the provincial election.
Deputy Mayor Bodner has spent several terms as a Council member and was Port Colborne's Mayor from 2004 to 2006.
The City thanks Deputy Mayor Bodner for stepping into the temporary leadership position while Mayor Steele is away.
