Sports Wall of Fame Nomination Form | City of Port Colborne

Nominate an athlete, team, or builder for our Sports Wall of Fame.

Originally created in 1991 at the West Side Arena, the Sports Wall of Fame is now located on the second level of the Vale Health & Wellness Centre.

Rules and Criteria Required for Nomination:

A completed nomination form does not guarantee inclusion on the Wall of Fame
Nominations will be considered over several years and it is not necessary to reapply
Athlete nominations are typically considered after they are retired from their sport
Playing, coaching or a builder within the professional ranks of sport (i.e. NHL, NFL, MLB, NBA, MLS) or in the
Olympics, Paralympics, Special Olympics are inclusionary achievements for the Sports Wall of Fame
Teams that win Provincial or National Championships are inclusionary achievements
Long standing volunteerism in sport with community impact are strongly considered
Other submissions will be considered on a case by case basis depending on how many nominations we receive each
year.
It is a goal of the committee to not induct more than 5 nominations each year.
Must have been born and spent formative years in the City of Port Colborne and or has lived in Port Colborne for over 10 years, and proves athletic achievements during their time residing here.
