 Swim Stroke Improvement: Perfect Your Technique and Build Confidence!

Looking to enhance your swimming skills and build your strength in the water? Our Swim Stroke Improvement program is just what you need! This class is all about improving technique, boosting endurance, and growing confidence—all while having fun in the pool.

Whether you're mastering the front crawl, conquering the backstroke, or refining your butterfly, we focus on all the key strokes that will make you a more powerful and efficient swimmer. Through games, drills, and skill-building activities, swimmers develop their abilities while enjoying the water in a positive, motivating atmosphere!

Requirements:

  • Swimmers must be able to swim one full length of the pool.

Ages:

  • 4 to 15 years old.

What to Bring:

  • Goggles and a swim cap for comfort and visibility.

Port Colborne Piranha Summer Swim Team

Become a Port Colborne Piranha!

Ready to make a splash this summer? Join the Port Colborne Piranhas and become part of the winning team in the Niagara Regional Summer Swimming League (N.R.S.S.L.)! Since 1971, Port Colborne has been competing alongside 8 other teams in the region, including Niagara Falls, St. Catharines, Brock, Grimsby, Dunnville, Lincoln, N.O.T.L./St. David's, and Pelham.

This is your chance to challenge yourself, improve your swimming skills, and make lasting memories. Practices are held twice a week over the summer, preparing you for Saturday swim meets where you’ll race against some of the best young swimmers in the region. And at the end of the season, you’ll compete in the final meet—usually held at Brock University or one of the awesome outdoor community pools. It’s the perfect opportunity to track your progress and see how far you’ve come!

Requirements:

  • Must be able to swim one full length of the pool.
  • Bring your own swim goggles.

What’s Included in Registration:

  • Team T-shirt and Swim Cap
  • Registration fees for all N.R.S.S.L. swim meets

*typical meet start time is 8:00-8:30am. Coaches will remind swimmers each week what time they need to be at the pool for warm-up. They will also confirm the location and address.
