
Beginning in 1999, SportFest, Festival of Sports™, is a February celebration providing family-friendly activities for all ages. This city-wide community Festival of Sports™ attracts participants from across Niagara with proceeds donated to various charities.
The City of Port Colborne will celebrate winter with the 26th annual SportsFest from February 6 to 8, 2026. Events including the Mayor’s Cup Hockey Tournament, the Sports Wall of Fame Inductee Ceremony, the Polar Plunge, as well as volleyball, a salsa-making competition, music trivia and so much more will take place throughout the city.
Join us as a participant or sign up to host an event by completing the Sportsfest Application. Please note, your activity does not need be a sports-themed event, nor does it need to span the entire weekend. All applications are welcome! Additionally, if you are a sports team using city property for your event, you will be required to submit a certificate of insurance with specific details. Please contact eventservices@portcolborne.ca to learn more.

Sports Wall of Fame Inductee Ceremony Join us on Saturday, February 7, as we proudly induct the newest members into the Sports Wall of Fame. Established in 1991 at the West Side Arena, this celebrated tribute now resides on the second floor of the Vale Health & Wellness Centre, honouring the legacy of Port Colborne's sports community.
