The City of Port Colborne is seeking an outgoing individual to join the team. The Marina Maintenance employee is an important link between Marina beautification and customer service. Reporting to Marina Supervisor or Senior Maintenance, you must undertake preventative and on-demand routine general maintenance and repairs. In addition to the general maintenance duties to Marina amenities and infrastructure, you will also assist with boat handling duties that include launch, haul out and storage service.

You will be responsible for general maintenance and repairs to all Marina property and facilities, including the use of heavy equipment and boat handling.  You will perform these functions in accordance with established standard operating procedures, department and corporate policies and with a focus on quality customer service and continuous improvement processes.

You must have a secondary school diploma and equivalent facility maintenance or skilled trades training plus knowledge/skills in carpentry, minor plumbing, electrical and concrete. Minimum 2 years in building/facility maintenance experience; Marina Facility/Yard and boat handling experience is an asset.  An outgoing, self-motivated and personable individual will excel in this position.

This is a temporary, part-time seasonal position.

Hourly salary: $19.69
