Canal Days® is a cherished "rite of summer" that we are committed to preserving for generations of families to come. Volunteering at the festival is one way to help ensure that this wonderful tradition continues.
When you volunteer, you are giving something back to the community, and you have the knowledge that you are helping make Canal Days® a success for thousands of residents and visitors each year.
We need your help to show the world what makes our festival the best part of summer. That is why we are asking interested residents to come forward and become volunteers for this year’s Canal Days® which runs from July 30, July 31st to August 1st and 2nd, 2010.
We would be honoured to work together with you to help visitors to our wonderful city experience the summer of their life.
Please see below for a number of volunteer opportunities:
Beverage ticket sales, Beverage Server, Information Ambassador, General Assistant, Ship Liaison, Vendor Runner, Children’s Area Supervisor, Volunteer Registration and Set-up/Clean up Crew.
To be a volunteer for the Canal Days® festival you must:
- be at least 16 years old or be accompanied by a parent or guardian
- complete a volunteer application form (see below)
- meet with the Volunteer Coordinator prior to Canal Days® to discuss placement
- depending on the position, you may be required to attend an orientation meeting
