Port Colborne General Hospital is a fully accredited hospital with 50 active and 30 chronic care beds. It is located in the downtown core along the Lake Erie waterfront. The hospital is staffed by one resident surgeon and 102 full and part time nurses. As a small community hospital, it provides inpatient medical and surgical care, ambulatory and emergency care. Services include; Emergency, Addiction Treatment Program, Mammography, Respite Program, Bereavement Counselling, Radiology, Physiotherapy, Ultrasound, Out Patient Services, Recreational Therapy, Occupational Services, Out Patient Diet Counselling, Palliative Care, Lifeline System Referral, Operating Room Suites, Discharge Planning, Laboratory and General Surgery.
Also available are a number of outpatient clinics including audiology, EEG, urology, ophthalmology, orthopaedic, dental and home care services.
The hospital is also the site of the regional New Port Centre, a residential facility specializing in addiction recovery.
